solitude, my love, 

this one is for you -

a way to send my love, 

and share with you my gratitude. 

thank you for being with me, 

when the world seems so blue. 

you're the only one to keep me happy,

as you light the path that i walk through. 

you're my beautiful companion,

you keep me joyful and free,

the only presence that stays around me,

when theres no one else that is here. 

you're like a child's friend,

that no one else can see,

every step i take, 

you walk with me.

I live in a world void of all I know, 

because people forgot you ages ago,

I no longer see humans who truly be,

they've left you behind as a memory.  

they plug their ears with buttons,

and blind their eyes with phones,

they smoother your presence with rubbish,

and they claim they're all alone. 

the sadness runs through me,

it completely breaks me into tears. 

then you wipe my face for me,

and reality returns so clear. 

so i walk alone in silence,

my head held up high,

following your gentle guidance,

looking for people who keep you alive. 

solitude, my dear, 

i beg you please,

dont fade away - 

just stay right here. 

when the entire world forgets itself,

you are the one who stays sincere.
